Tidio Alternative

A Tidio alternative for teams tired of counting three meters

GACS AI is a Tidio alternative for businesses that want one AI agent across web chat, WhatsApp, email and phone on a single bill. Tidio bills on three separate meters at once, which is the usual reason people start looking. Tidio also has a real free tier and better front-of-funnel visitor tools, and GACS AI has neither.

The Bill

Why people look for a Tidio alternative

Tidio is a good product. The widget is fast, the free tier is genuine, and the visitor engagement tools beat what most AI-first support vendors ship. People do not leave because it is bad. They leave because they cannot predict the invoice.

Tidio charges on billable conversations, with up to 10 seats included, which is generous. The published tiers are Free at $0 a month with 50 billable conversations, 10 seats and 100 Flows visitors. Starter is $24.17 for 100 billable conversations. Growth starts at $49.17 from 250. Plus starts at $300 plus usage. Premium is contact for pricing. Tidio's page does not state clearly whether those rates are monthly or annual-billed, so check before you budget.

Then Lyro, the AI agent, is metered separately at $0.5 per conversation. Tidio's definition is that "A Lyro conversation is a customer interaction initiated through any channel integrated with Tidio that has at least one reply from our AI agent." Multiple Lyro replies inside one interaction count as one conversation, which is fair. Lyro standalone starts at $32.50 a month. Lyro Connect is only available on Plus and Premium.

Then Flows, the visual automation builder, is metered separately again, from $24.17 a month from 2,000 visitors reached.

That is three meters running at once. Plan conversations, Lyro conversations, and Flows visitors. Each is defensible on its own. Together they make a forecast difficult.

The number people actually want is not published. The plan price at 1,000 conversations sits behind an interactive calculator rather than on the page. What you can calculate is the Lyro side. A thousand conversations handled by Lyro at $0.50 each is $500 a month in AI charges alone, before the plan fee you cannot look up.

From G2, Milan G.:

"Pricing scales quickly once you go past the basics. Lyro conversations are billed separately, so costs get unpredictable on higher-traffic sites."

Tidio wins the free-tier row, the included-seats row and the setup row. If you want to test an AI agent this afternoon without talking to anyone, Tidio is the better starting point and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Not Everyone Should Switch

Who should stay on Tidio

Stay if you are a small store catching pre-sale visitors. Tidio is a live chat and visitor-engagement product, not only a ticket answerer. Proactive triggers, visitor tracking and Flows let you start conversations with people who have not asked a question yet. GACS AI answers people who do ask. For a store trying to convert browsers, Tidio's version is more useful.

Stay if the free tier covers you. Fifty billable conversations a month at $0 with 10 seats is a real offer, and paying anyone for something you are getting for free is not a good trade.

Stay if you are a one to ten agent SMB ecommerce team whose volume is mostly web chat. That is the shape Tidio is built for and it does it well.

Stay if Flows is doing work for you. A visual builder your non-technical team already understands has switching costs a pricing comparison does not capture. Stay if Messenger and Instagram are meaningful channels for you, because we do not cover either.

What Changes

Where GACS AI is different

One meter instead of three. Pricing runs on conversation volume and the channels you connect. There is no separate AI charge per conversation and no separate automation-builder charge on top. What you are forecasting is one number.

WhatsApp and phone calls are first-class channels. WhatsApp runs on your own business number through Meta's official Cloud API signup flow, connected from the dashboard without a developer. Inbound and outbound voice calls are answered by the same agent. For businesses where customers message on WhatsApp and call rather than open a website widget, that is the practical difference.

The knowledge base syncs itself. Import your site by URL, upload PDFs, write entries by hand, or connect a Google Drive folder or Notion workspace. Answers change when your team edits the source document.

Arabic and English work inside the same conversation, including when a customer switches mid-message. 50+ languages are supported, and the bilingual case is one we built for deliberately.

Your agents get help. Handoff carries the full transcript, the agent suggests replies while a person types, and the conversation captures leads. Connected catalogs render product cards in chat. More on the features page and the ecommerce page.

Stated Plainly

What GACS AI does not have

No free tier and no free trial. Plans start at $149 a month with a $299 one-time setup. If free is the requirement, Tidio wins that outright.

No self-service signup. You cannot install us this afternoon without talking to someone.

No proactive visitor triggers or visual automation builder comparable to Flows. No visitor tracking for front-of-funnel engagement. No Messenger or Instagram channels.

No published benchmarks. No resolution rate, no accuracy figure, no deflection percentage. Tidio publishes Lyro resolution numbers and we have nothing equivalent to put next to them.

No public case studies or customer logos yet. Shopify order tracking is live, so customers can ask where their order is and get the answer from Shopify. Shopify catalog sync and live stock answers, Calendly, WhatsApp bulk campaigns and streaming voice are in build. No order actions, so no refunds, returns or order edits. BigCommerce and Magento are not planned as native connectors.

Switching Over

How migration works

Nothing gets switched off on day one, and if you are on the Tidio free tier there is no rush at all.

Knowledge import comes first. Your site gets pulled in by URL, along with PDFs, policy pages and whatever lives in Drive or Notion. That is usually a day or two of review.

Then the widget goes on your site from one snippet, with handoff triggering early. If WhatsApp matters to you, that connects to your existing business number through Meta's flow. Email routing follows if you want it.

Run both for a few weeks. Keep Tidio on the pages where the proactive triggers are earning their keep and put GACS AI where the real questions arrive. The split is usually obvious once you can see it in the analytics.

Chat transcripts stay in Tidio. We do not migrate conversation history, so take your export regardless.

The decision usually comes down to two things. Whether WhatsApp and phone are channels you need, and whether one predictable bill is worth more to you than a free tier plus three meters.

FAQs

FAQ

Tidio does not publish it. The plan price at that volume sits behind an interactive calculator rather than on the pricing page. The part you can calculate is Lyro, at $0.5 per conversation, so 1,000 AI-handled conversations would be $500 a month in AI charges before the plan fee. Seats are not a factor, since up to 10 are included.

Tidio's definition is "a customer interaction initiated through any channel integrated with Tidio that has at least one reply from our AI agent." Several Lyro replies inside one interaction still count as one conversation, which is a fair way to meter it.

Yes. $0 a month with 50 billable conversations, 10 seats and 100 Flows visitors, plus 50 one-off Lyro conversations. Paid plans carry a 7-day trial. GACS AI has no free tier and no free trial.

GACS AI runs on one meter, conversation volume and connected channels, with no separate AI charge and no seat charge. Plans start at $149 a month for 500 chats (Starter), then $399 for 1,500 chats and 200 call minutes (Growth) and $899 for 4,000 chats and 600 call minutes (Scale), each with a $299 one-time setup. Extra chats are $0.25 and extra call minutes $0.40. See the pricing page. One caveat on the comparison. Tidio's page does not state clearly whether its displayed rates are monthly or annual-billed, so confirm that on their site before comparing.

Knowledge import is usually a day or two, with two to four weeks of running both systems while you watch the split. Chat transcripts stay in Tidio, because we do not migrate history. You lose the free tier, Flows and proactive visitor triggers. You gain WhatsApp on your own number, phone calls and one bill.

Tell us your channel mix

If your customers live in a website widget and your volume is small, Tidio's free tier is hard to beat. If they message on WhatsApp and call you, that is the conversation worth having.
